The Migration Information Centre (MIC) is a consultation centre of the International Organization for Migration (IOM - UN Migration) with the main goal to support the integration of migrants in Slovakia.
MIC is the first and only information centre in Slovakia, it has been providing comprehensive assistance services to foreigners since 2006. MIC provides people with the following free services in Košice:
- legal consultations
- social and professional consultations
- assistance with recognition of foreign education
- assistance with labour market integration
- financial support for retraining courses
- Slovak language courses
- consultation services for highly-qualified foreign workers and Slovak returnees
- assistance with foreigners’ employment
- social and cultural orientation courses in Slovakia
- support for the community life of foreigners
